Description
It derived from rice by the way of fermentation with the so-called red yeast (Monascus purpureus). Red yeast rice contains monacolin and mevinolin acid, which are similar to medical substances satins, it has a direct inhibitory effect on the activity of HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme of cholesterol synthesis, reducing the total cholesterol level in persons with hyperlipidemia. It is included into the composition of “Kolestina”.
Usage description
Primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerosis of any localization, atherosclerotic vascular disease - ischemic heart disease, elevated cholesterol and triglyceride level, peripheral arterial disease, kidney vessel atherosclerosis, acute myocardial infarction from the 1st day of disease, treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus, treatment and prevention of arterial hypertension, ventricular arrhythmia, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, deep vein thrombosis, menopausal syndrome, menopause, osteoporosis and fracture prevention, calculous cholecystitis.
